The Port of New York and New Jersey reported handling 699,240 TEUs in February, reflecting a 10.6% increase compared to the same month last year.
In the first two months of the year, the US port managed 1,419,987 TEUs.
Imports rose by 7.4% in February, totaling 356,918 TEUs, with total imported loads for the first two months of 2025 reaching 735,550 TEUs, a 9% year-on-year growth.
The Port of New York and New Jersey exported 107,335 TEUs in February, a 5.6% increase from the previous year. A total of 206,041 TEUs were exported in January and February, representing a 2% decline from the same period in 2024.
Additionally, the US port moved 53,673 containers by rail in February, representing a 1.4% growth from the previous year's February figure. Rail volume from January through February was 0.2% greater than in the same period of 2024.
Lastly, the auto sector experienced a robust February at the Port of New York and New Jersey, totaling 26,210 units, marking a 32.6% increase from the previous year.
